About the Author
Emma Hollingsworth is a Kaanju, Kuku Ya'u, and Girramay woman who grew up surrounded by the rich landscapes of tropical Far North Queensland.
Now operating from her home studio in Meanjin (Brisbane), her distinct creative practice is a striking reflection of her heritage.
By pairing vivid, contemporary designs with ancient cultural traditions, Emma’s work explores the journey of a young Indigenous woman paving her path in a modern world, navigating the unique trials, tribulations, and triumphs that go hand in hand with it.
